I know I’m not making much progress
I’ve got sutures that can’t seem to heal
I called up to see my potential
But it wants to see other people

I’m trapped between panic and apathy
Between the person I am and the person I‘m “meant” to be
My thread rends to split ends
They trail with inks and medicine
I’ve scraped up, and I’ve spent
Too much to braid and bind them

Have to drown myself to “save” my life

Adding pressure to see if I’ll bend or I’ll break
They dock points when I’m trying
To give back as much as I take
Accept it, I’m not meant
For glory, fame or fortune
Am I doomed, or destined
For this routine rejection

And draft blueprints for a new design
